Sutjeska National Park, the oldest and largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is home to one of Europe’s last intact primeval forests — the Perućica Reserve, a strictly protected nature zone. We organize tours throughout Perucica, this will be a one of a kind experience for you.
Sutjeska National Park, the oldest and largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is home to one of Europe's last intact primeval forests — the Perućica Reserve, a strictly protected nature zone. The forest features ancient beech and spruce trees, some over 300 years old.
What to expect:
A short drive to the Dragoš Sedlo viewpoint (~1,320 m), offering panoramic views of Perućica and the Skakavac Waterfall (75–81 m), framed by the peaks of Maglić, Volujak, and Zelengora
A guided hike through the primary forest to the base of the waterfall—around 3–4 hours on foot, covering ~3.5 km with a 400 m elevation change
Strictly limited access: only with a certified guide and maximum of 25 participants. Min. age recommended is 12.
A pristine ecosystem with rich biodiversity—hundreds of plant species and wildlife including bears, wolves, and Balkan chamois.
